ترجمه وتفسیر سوره محمد

این سوره را ازآن جهت سورۀ «مُحَمّد» می گویند که: در آیۀ دوم از آن بیان فرو فرستادن قرآن کریم بر مُحَمّد صلی الله علیه وسلم آمده است و به سبب این که احکام جنگ با کفار نیز در این سوره بیان شده است، به نام سورۀ «قِتال» نیز نامیده می‌شود. این سوره متصل بعد پس از هِجرت رسول أکرم صل الله علیه و سلّم به مدینۀ منوره فوراً نازل شد. تعداد آیات این سوره به سی وهشت آیه، و تعداد کلمات آن به ۵۴۲ کلمه (با در نظر داشت اقوال متفاوت علماء دراین بابت) و تعداد حروف آن به و ۲۴۲۴ حرف (با در نظر داشت نظریات متفاوت علماء در این بابت) میرسد. سوره محمد چون در مدینۀ منوره نازل شده است و مانند سایر سوره هاى مدنى، به احکام تشریعى توجه واهتمام نموده است. محور ومحتوی اصلی سورۀ محمد برشمردن صفات مؤمنان وکافران و مقایسه عاقبت کار هر دو طائفه در قیامت ومسئله جهاد وجنگ بادشمنان اسلام است.
