إعتكاف در رمضان

اعتکاف، از نظر لغوی مصدر باب افتعال از «عکف» است، که به معنی درنگ کردن و ادامه دادن است. در دین مقدس اسلام ، منظور از اعتکاف آن است که شخص به منظور عبادت در مسجد متوقف شود یعنی إعتكاف به معناى بند بودن، توقف يا درنگ كردن، در جايى ميباشد.
 علماء میفرمایند : اعتكاف عبارت از خلوت شرعی است كه انسان خود را در جهت طاعت الله ویاد او محبوس می كند واز تمام مشغله هایی كه میان قلب او وپروردگار فاصله ایجاد می كند دوری می گزیند وروح وجسم خویش را به پروردگار با عظمت می سپارد . برخی ازعلماء درفهم اعتکاف میگویند : اعتکاف یعنی گوشه نشینی و عزلت وبرخی میگویند اعتکاف به معناي «گوشه نشين شدن، در جايي ماندن، خود را بازداشتن و گوشه نشيني براي عبادت» است.
